I understand perfectly. It's the same with Mordred, for example. In that book he is not evil, he is not tormented by his destiny and his birth. And without the tragedy of his figure he is not really Mordred.

I think it's all because of Gerald Morris. He writes a SUPERB Lancelot. |

Ehm... I actually watched that movie (twice, I think, in Italian and in English) and I really hated it : ( I'm sorry.
I couldn't feel the love between Lancelot and Guinevere or between Guenever and Arthur. The only things I loved were the scene with Lancelot crying and the presence of Agravaine (I usually love Agravaine). The absence of Mordred was very important in my opinion about the movie XD |
PS: About movie that are mostly about the relationship between Lancelot and Guinevere I preferred the musical Camelot. That lancelot was great and I have a crush on Vanessa Redgrave as Guinevere.
There I could feel the tragic love (and also the love between Arthur and Guenevere) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsSnNk0CSh0 |
I found myself crying. That's so touching.

I always cry when I watch that movie. In the first part I laugh (Dinadan <3) and the second part is terribly touching ;_;
